100-inch Telescope Public Ticket Night (Sept 4, 2021) - Canceled for Forest Closure

Mount Wilson's 100-inch Telescope Public Ticket Nights make the remarkable experience of telescope viewing available to visitors not associated with a large group. Come up and observe through the largest telescope in the world available to the public, the historic telescope that astronomer Edwin Hubble used to prove the existence of other galaxies and that our Universe is expanding.

• This special viewing session is limited to 16 observers, so there will be plenty of time for everyone to look at a significant number of targets.
• This event allows up to 4 tickets to be purchased by one individual.  Tickets may not be sold or otherwise transferred to another person except by gift. 
• This special session runs from 7:15 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

In accordance with the July 15, 2021 Los Angeles County Health Officer Order, masks are required in all indoor areas of the observatory grounds. At this time, masks are required inside the telescope.
