Description
Mount Wilson's 60-inch Telescope Public Ticket Nights make the remarkable experience of telescope viewing available to visitors not associated with a group. We have set aside a night for individuals to observe the stars with the first large, precision-made reflecting telescope in the world, the one that revolutionized the technology. You will be looking through the historic telescope that astronomer Harlow Shapley used to measure the size of our Milky Way Galaxy for the first time and find our position in it, removing us from the center.
- This special viewing session is limited to 20 observers, so there will be plenty of time for everyone to look at a significant number of targets.
- This event allows up to 4 tickets to be purchased by one individual. Tickets may not be sold or otherwise transferred to another person except by gift.
- This special session runs from 7:30 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
- Please visit our website for more viewing session details at: Mount Wilson Public Ticket Nights
Come enjoy an incredible night of astronomy on the largest telescope in the world available for public use.
