Description
Held the last Sunday of every month through the summer, 'SUNDAYS WITH TIM' will expand upon the 'Chapters' in the storied history of the Observatory that is published each Tuesday as part of the 'Discovering Mount Wilson' campaign on www.mtwilson.edu.
Starting at 5:00PM (PDT), Tim will be speaking to us from the Hale Library at Carnegie Observatories, sharing his vast knowledge of Mount Wilson. He will present an insider's view of the founding of Mount Wilson Solar Observatory, and George Ellery Hale's long fascination with solar astronomy.
Tim's anecdotal presentations provide background and stories about Mount Wilson you won't find in the history books! You won't want to miss it.
There will be a brief Q&A period following the talk. Questions can be submitted in the Zoom chat.
We hope you'll join us for these presentations that delve deeper into the historical significance of Mount Wilson Observatory and showcase its rich legacy.
